Apple Cider Vinegar
Omega Nutrition is one of my favourite companies for buying pantry items, their organic goods are packed in opaque non-reactive bottles to protect nutrients. I love their Apple Cider Vinegar for my salad dressings.
We use this for everything, smoothies, baking, cooking and for spreading on rice cakes with avocado and even to nourish nails. I use Omega Nutrition because again, you get what it says on the bottle, straight up organic pure coconut oil.
Organic Cacao Powder
What girl doesn’t keep chocolate in the house? Cacao is a superfood, that means you can have your chocolate fix and know that it’s working wonders for your mind, body and soul. I like Organic Traditions.
Organic Coconut Sugar
This is great for baking, I love a sweet treat and it’s a better alternative to refined sugar. It has a gorgeous caramel taste to it.
Once I got the hang of buckwheat flour, there is little baking I do without it. My favourite gluten free option, I use it for brownies, bread and making pancakes, I love that it has healing properties too.
There are all sorts in my pantry, red, moong, Puy, pardina… Perfect in soups, for a quick Dahl, a kedgeree or kitcheri, with roasted red onions for a salad… This list goes on and on!
Himalayan pink salt
I don’t normally add salt to food, but if I do, I use this in place of regular salt because it has super high levels of minerals, it’s like putting beautiful pink diamonds into your body.
Coconut milk is an amazing vegan and dairy free alternative to cream. It makes every rich and add good fats and nutrients to everything, so it packs a punch health wise and it is so delicious.
I try to eat at least some of these almost everyday. You have seen recipe posts which call for my healing spices, they are turmeric, cayenne, ground cumin, ground coriander, cinnamon and nutmeg.
You can eat eggs for breakfast, lunch or dinner in so many ways. It only takes minutes for you to create a meal with eggs and they go with everything. The great thing about eggs is they are a yummy and versatile way to nourish your body.
